Wedding & Events Music ProducerHaving discovered her power to lead musicians at the early age of 5 years old when she put together her first folk singing group – each child with a guitar and Iris herself singing harmonies and playing on guitar, the rest of her musical production life was a magical carpet ride. Iris started out creating small bands between the ages of 5-12 years old. Once in her teens, Iris Gillon’s eyes grew wider and wider as she expanded her horizons by inviting more talent to collaborate with her. That is when Iris Gillon started composing her own original songs, dances and mini-musicals. Once into her mid teens, at the age of 16, Iris Gillon became a music, drama and dance counselor at a local children’s summer camp where she composed several complete musicals with orchestrations, a choir and dancing as well. She not only composed all the music, but she also wrote the lyrics and choreographed all the dance parts for the performers. This summer of fun at the age of 16 was the launching pad for a very serious carreer for Iris as she branched off writing symphonies, concertos and movie sound tracks. When Iris Gillon first coordinated her orchestral ensemble, she found that she could also conduct and engineer in a multi-track recording studio and her creative life led a pack of serious film composers in the United States when at the age of 22, Iris Gillon became the leading expert on using the Fairlight Computer – the first computer EVER to be a part of a symphony orchestra and play along with sequences and multi-track recordings. Iris never dreamed that her early experiences as an orchestral conductor and music composer would lead her to be the top wedding coordinator for amazing wedding orchestras in and around New York City! |

Iris Gillon was so brilliant that by the age of 22 she had been written up in the Funk and Wagnals Sience and Technology Yearbook as one of the leading music experts in the country along side of Robert Moog (who invented the first synthesizers) and the Juilliard School of Music (where Iris Gillon was a student for piano performance for a few years). Once into her mid 20’s, Iris Gillon (IGMC) also became quite adept as a recording engineer and orchestral conductor at the same time as concertizing in Europe, Israel and around the United States as a concert pianist. During recordings of many of Iris Gillon’s orchestral movie sound-track compositions Iris sat in the engineer's chair, helping to mix and record her orchestral works with the use of the first SSL (computer-controlled mixing board) studio in the country. A decade in New York City living as a music teacher, composer and performer, composing more and more music for all sorts of small ensembles and small orchestras, Iris was an active member of ASCAP and frequently received generous royalties from her movie soundtracks and orchestral performances of her works as they were performed all over the United States, Europe, South America, Canada and Australia. In 1989 when Iris Gillon’s music production company IGMC (Iris Gillon Music’n Celebrations LLC) first took root, more and more musicians came to Iris for work. At the same time, more and more people heard of the quality events and musical groups that were emanating from Iris Gillon’s magical touch, the dynamic hands of destiny led Iris into a whirlwind of parties, galas, events corporate product launches and more. With Iris Gillon at the helm, IGMC (Iris Gillon Music’n Celebrations LLC) has produced several thousand parties, weddings and events. Every single year, Iris Gillon, with her tremendously successful party and events planning company tries to find new ways to incorporate her talents with original music and music production into the very fiber of her events. One wonderful item that Iris Gillon has added into her wedding packages that brides and grooms can take advantage of; is that Iris Gillon is available to compose an original first dance for the bride and groom and write that song entirely about them. This new little gift has taken off like wild fire and the brides and grooms LOVE to have a song written about them. Iris is hoping soon to make music videos of the songs featuring the brides and grooms in their first dance with movie clips of their wedding as part of the video footage to illustrate their personal love songs. One recent example of this was televised on WE Entertainment when one couple who asked to have a first dance composed by Iris written and performed for them on live tv, made this song of the famous Platinum Wedding serious that was featuring Iris Gillon as the Wedding Planner for this one wedding. It was an amazing show and another notch on Iris Gillon’s belt as a leading talent and original designer and thinker in the wedding and events industry in this country. On the corporate side of Iris Gillon’s Entertainment and Music and Production company for events, is that Iris Gillon is now offering up to compose a musical for a company, a totally original work about them and just for them and to perform it with New York City’s top talent – and all just privately for that one company. One recent example of this corporate musical is an event that Iris Gillon and her event planning company produced for Stago Inc. Stago is a medical equipment and software company that produces equipment and software to analyze blood and the clotting abilities of blood to help patients survive surgeries, and heart attacks, strokes and more. Iris Gillon actually wrote a musical about the blood clotting and their equipment and software and featured the particles of the blood, blood proteins and more as some of the singers in her mini musical that she composed for their 25th anniversary of international and sensational success. Needless to say, the musical was brilliant and had the scientists on the floor laughing and clapping and cheering as it was a total surprise and they had the most fun that they ever had at a company event ever before. Iris Gillon combined her talents with the Super Star Jennifer Cella (lead vocalist for the platinum selling band TRANSIBERIAN ORCHESTRA!) to build an all star dynamite party and dance band called MIRACLE.
